National Pet Day!!!!!

 

Lets celebrate the joy that our lovely furry friends bring into our lives!

I have a Cat named Princess and a Pit Bull named Demon:)
They are part of our family and I am a animal lover....Always have been and always will be!

Animal Shelters need our help!!!
Did you know that around 16,000 pets die in the US alone on a daily basis in shelters? That adds up and it's very sad!!  I just can't imagine....

Animal Shelters need our help!!!   Think about all the things that you buy - shoes, bags, coffee - all the things that are unnecessary when you think about the change that you would make by foregoing one of these things to donate money to help these poor, helpless animals instead....

Just think - if everyone in America donated $1 dollar a month, that's millions of dollars raised altogether!  Lets all come together and help these animals out, Save a Pets life today!!!!

I personally am not educated on how many animals are in shelters or how many die or even how many get adopted out, But since this day is National Pet Day, I do believe I will be helping out in some way to a shelter near me:))

I will be sure to send an update and photo when I make my round to the animal shelter!!!!

First of all signing up to donate to a shelter on a monthly basis would be fantastic.

Its great to get both adults and children involved too, because teaching children to be compassionate towards animals from a young age should carry on into adulthood. Most of all the aim is to stop animal cruelty as much as possible.

PLEASE....Find your local Animal Shelter and make a donation, or even a drop off of food....anything is better than nothing and remember you can be saving the life of your future fury friend:))

NATIONAL SIBLING DAY!!!!!

National Sibling Day is a day to appreciate and cherish your brothers and sisters. Siblings are truly a special blessing that we probably all too often take for granted. They are often our best friends and supporters through life. Another reason to celebrate is that not everyone is lucky enough to have siblings. Their lives are significantly different growing up, and throughout life.

Celebrate National Sibling Day in a variety of ways. It's a great time to be thankful for your sibling. But, most importantly get in touch with your siblings. Visit them if they live nearby. Call them, if they live far away. Send them a card, a letter, gifts, or flowers.

I was blessed to have 4 sisters and 2 brothers:))) I live away from them all but try to stay in contact by trying often:) I live them each dearly!!!!!

Claudia A. Evart, President and Founder of this day, initiated National Sibling Day after the tragic deaths of her brother and sister.

Twenty two state governors have issued proclamation on this day. President Bill Clinton has supported it. However, we are not aware of any presidential proclamation or an act of congress making this a true "National " day.

National Child Abuse Awareness Month

National Child Abuse Awareness Month in the USA

 

 

The purpose is to raise awareness of child abuse within our communities and offer children and there parents the chance to take part in many activities and ways to prevent child abuse from happening.

If you yourself are not familiar with ways to prevent Child Abuse head over to  National Child Abuse Awareness Month website where you can find out more about the month and ways to stop abuse and learn the signs so you can help offering a child protection.

Becoming aware and helping other children and parents learn about child abuse and being able to help prevent it is awesome, there needs to be more people out there like us that want to take forth and learn protect a child.

On the website you can find out more about the ‘Five Protective Factors’ that can help children within families and communities.   There are also tip sheets and an activity calendar to get you thinking and raising awareness. You can also learn how to spot child abuse signs.

Around 3.6 million children were mistreated through physical and emotional child abuse, and it is thought that this shocking figure is on the increase. With all the stories we hear on the news about parents hurting there children or someone else hurting them or even killing them:( It's so sad and we, as in all of us can help in some way or another.  By taking part in events and raising awareness, you can help to prevent it.

My Fitness Pal App

I really want to loose weight before the summer months get here,  I know I am a little late, but I just can't seem to get movtivated.  I have recently downloaded this app on my phone called My Fitness Pal.  It helps me keep track of my calorie intake and exercises that I do daily, even if I clean my house I keep track and that helps:)) I have only done this for a few days now and I won't lie, I have went over but I will eventually get the hang of it and start seeing results....

What's for Dinner in your house Tonight?

WHAT'S FOR DINNER IN YOUR HOUSE?

Happy Tuesday everyone:))

I cooked a good dinner last night, I made steak with green, red peppers and onions........oh yes it was good......mashed potatoes and corn and green beans with  a salad.....

 

Yes it was Delicious:))~

 

So tonight is easy night for me......There are 6 mouths in my house that I feed everynight and sometimes a easy clean up is what makes me happy:))

Tonight is Cheeseburgers and homemade fries!!!
